Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX area!

We are looking for a hands-on Supplier Quality engineer who thrives in fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment to work onsite at a local Red Oak, TX supplier. You will be responsible for driving supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions across the all parts of the plane's structural programs. You’ll lead supplier improvements, manage inspections with third-party teams, engage stakeholders and DCMA, and oversee continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.

  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.

  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

  • Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.

  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Works under general direction.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 

  • More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • More than 3 years of experience have collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions

  • More than 3 years of experience performing Quality Inspection within an Aerospace environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • More than 5 years of experience performing quality inspections on machined parts and mechanical assemblies

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Experience inspecting aerospace wire harnesses

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Shift:

This position is primarily 1st shift, but may require work on second shift to support supplier needs.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for mid-level (level 3): USD 94,350 - 127,650

Summary Pay Range for senior level (level 4): USD 116,450 -157,550
