The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Ground SystemsFront Line Software Engineering Manager to support the Air Dominance team located inDaytona Beach, FL, to support the Ground Segment Software Development on a fast-paced program.

You will be joining a fast-paced Air Dominance program where you will be responsible for coordinating across disciplines to drive project execution for Mission Planning, Debrief, and Information Management/Communication activities. This role requires close collaboration across multiple Integrated Product Team(IPT)s and the ability to coordinate tasking and drive execution for a geographically separated team. In this position you will be working closely with managers from other IPT’s and the customers on the subject projects.

We are seeking a Software Engineer Manager to lead and inspire our software development team in development on cloud infrastructures following modern DevSecOps and Agile execution processes. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements and interface definition, design, development, and integration of Cloud Native Software. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for managing the engineering team, overseeing project delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve business goals.

Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities
  • Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve technical challenges, and remove blockers for the team
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
  • Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide technical strategy

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years proven experience in software development
  • 2 years' experience have leading projects or teams
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development best practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset
  • Experience in Cloud Native software development
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, Typescript, C# and SQL
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance standards

Summary Pay Range for Manager: $123,250 - $166,750
