Boeing Global Services is currently seeking to hire a Training Device Technician: F-15 T2/EX Government Training Engineering (GTE) US Air Force (USAF) Fighters Training Services located at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan. The selected candidate will join the F-15 Training Services team and will be responsible for F-15 EX training device maintenance for a program in the F-15 USAF Training Systems portfolio.

This is a Long-Term International Assignment to Okinawa, Japan for up to 5 years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of simulators to render them available for training
  • Testing, configuring, upgrading, and modifying training devices, hardware and software
  • Collaborating with the engineering teams and program management to maintain a common vision and deliver winning products
  • Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
  • Coordinates and consults with vendors and/or customers to determine the level of maintenance or repair to be performed on training device and/or components
  • Performs detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling
  • Inspects components and or LRU's to verify status prior to installation.
  • Consults with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Works minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft flight simulator training device maintenance, or experience in aircraft avionics / electronics or computer network and information systems
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and computing networks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.) (Senior Level)
  • 2+ years of experience in fighter aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices
  • Security+ Computer Certification

Long-term Assignment details:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $62,900- $85,100

Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $74,800- $101,200
