  • Provide engineering support across the full P-8A weapon system, including aircraft, mission support systems, and training systems.
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of procedures for data collection, assessment, and reporting.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with stringent regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Review, approve, and contribute to engineering reports and documentation, translating analysis into clear technical recommendations.

  • Lead projects from concept through delivery, ensuring outcomes meet customer, stakeholder, regulatory, and schedule expectations.
  • Engage confidently with stakeholders, providing updates, briefings, and presentations.
  • Help foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related discipline from a nationally accredited program, or equivalent experience. RPEQ and/or CPEng is desirable.
  • 7-12 years' experience in avionics systems, aircraft repairs, analysis, or engineering support within in-service aircraft operations.
  • Experience developing engineering artefacts in a regulated aviation environment, such as DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA, or similar.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to collect, organise, and interpret data to form sound conclusions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive approach, strong initiative, and a drive to deliver results.
