The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supports the Royal Australian Air Force P-8A Poseidon (P8) fleet. We work side‑by‑side with Commonwealth and industry partners, and we're looking for an experienced Program Integration Manager (PIM) to join the P8 Sustainment Program leadership team.

This is a high‑profile, technically challenging and genuinely important role across the whole of the P8 program. You'll be a key leadership team member, coordinating the program's full platform requirements and enabling services, influencing stakeholders and making sure the fleet stays mission ready.

This role is based onsite at RAAF Base Edinbugh.

Why you'll want to join

  • Work on Australia's maritime patrol and ASW capability — a real national asset.
  • Be part of a blended Defence and industry team delivering tangible outcomes for the RAAF.
  • Ongoing professional development, including Boeing Project Management Best Practices (PMBP).
  • A workplace that is safety-first, is a people-focused workplace that values trust, ownership and innovation.

As the Program Integration Manager you will:

  • Lead Enterprise Integrated Planning and build integrated plans that meet business, technical and customer needs.
  • Drive program management performance and execution through clear, timely communication.
  • Support the Program Manager in customer engagement so stakeholders always know program status and performance.
  • Coordinate priority issues and ensure delivery against program commitments.
  • Support governance, workforce planning, risk and stakeholder management.
  • Coach program staff in Boeing's PMBP and practical project management disciplines.
  • Ensure leadership and the customer receive timely technical and business reporting.
  • Connect the program to internal support functions (HR, Quality, EHS, Finance, Contracts, Security, Facilities, Trade Controls, Data, Training).
  • Lead by example on safety, equity, diversity and environmental management.
  • Monitor performance and availability metrics to keep the P8 fleet operational.
  • Be the go‑to SME for program/project management across the P8 sustainment effort.

About you

  • Strong leadership, prioritisation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep project/program management experience delivering complex defence or aviation programs.
  • At least 10 years' relevant experience in project management, engineering or aircraft technical environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of airworthiness and ADF Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.
  • Team player with a practical, solutions‑focused attitude — you'll work at the right level without getting bogged in detail.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to influence across Commonwealth and industry.

Must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain, an Australian Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting 1 (NV1).

Sound like you? If you're organised, a strong communicator and have a background in complex program management — and you want to help keep the P8 fleet flying for Royal Australian Airforce — we'd like to hear from you.
