Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security Division (BDS) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist(Associate or Experienced) to join the HR team in El Segundo, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive team aimed at shaping the future of Human Resources (HR) at Boeing and drive business value for Space Mission System and the El Segundo site.

By partnering with managers and employees, you will have a critical role in driving business value, best-in-class employee experience, and effective delivery of HR programs, services, and support in the following key areas:

  • Employee engagement

  • Career and employee development

  • Employee performance

  • Leadership coaching and development

  • Integration and partnership across Operations, across broader HR team, and HR Centers of Excellence including Ethics, Labor Relations, Total Rewards, and Legal

As a key member of the HR Team, you will gain a strong understanding of the business imperatives to unleash the power of our talent across the organization.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides visible, on the floor HR presence where our employees work to enable real-time engagement and solutions

  • Provides consultation and coaching to employees at all levels (management to non-management) on HR practices and processes

  • Partners with business leaders, ethics and/or corporate investigations to resolve workplace concerns, support the development and delivery of corrective actions, performance improvement and development plans

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Leaders and their teams to deliver integrated HR initiatives and solutions

  • Partners across broader HR team and with HR centers of excellence (COE) partners to deliver high quality, seamlessly integrated operational HR support to the business

  • Aids in supporting the delivery of key HR processes (performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.)

  • Utilizes conflict resolution techniques and the capability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism

  • Utilizes HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided

  • Supports HR priorities, organizational structure, and long-range business plans including affordability/productivity, skill and talent discussions, development programs, and resource deployment

Working Conditions:

This role requires a consistent presence on the floor and the capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or Employee Relations

  • 1+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices, and processes

  • 1+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes

  • 1+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

  • 1+ years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders

  • 1+ years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement

  • Experience working with labor unions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active US Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, or a related field

  • Human Resources certification(s)

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience problem-solving, analyzing data and utilizing various HR tools and systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Level 2: $80,750 – $109,250

Summary pay range for Level 3: $102,000 - $138,000

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
