The Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide administrative and operational support to Employees and the Human Resources team in El Segundo, CA.

In this role you will directly contribute to a People Focused culture by supporting employees through various aspects of their employment. This role handles onboarding and offboarding logistics, maintains employee records, coordinates orientation activities, and assists with general Human Resource (HR) tasks. It’s ideal for someone early in their HR career who is detail‑oriented, organized, and people‑focused.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Employee Support — Serve as a first point of contact for basic HR questions and escalate issues as needed

  • HR Administration — Maintain employee records, update HRIS data, and support compliance with company policies and employment laws

  • New Hire Onboarding — Monitor progress through post-offer contingencies, schedule orientation, keep all stakeholders informed and up to date, and ensure all onboarding tasks are completed on time

  • Orientation Coordination — Facilitate Day 1 activities, introduce new hires to company culture, and ensure equipment and workspace readiness

  • Offboarding Coordination – Ensure all last day processes and requirements are completed in compliance with policies and applicable state laws

  • Collaboration — Partner with IT, Security, Facilities, and department managers to ensure seamless new‑hire setup

  • Process Improvement — Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding workflows and enhance the employee experience

  • HR Special projects – Assist and contribute to special projects from compliance to improving employee experience as they arise

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Outstanding customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience with HRIS systems

  • Capability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $64,600 - $87,400
