Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Control & Materials Manager (PC/MM) to join our team in El Segundo, California.

Our programs’ scope includes national defense, commercial connectivity applications, and space exploration. 

This Senior Manager position requires leadership capability that collaborates effectively with peers while leading a team that manages the PC/MM function with excellence in support of all programs at our sites.

Primary responsibilities include leading a group of managers and their teams who support the execution of daily schedules and production processes for complex development and low rate production programs in El Segundo and Huntington Beach, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee and mid-level manager activities across more than one area in production control and materials management.

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of functional approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

  • Ensures that overall budgets, schedules and performance standards are set and attained.   

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • More than 5 years of experience in Production Control and Material Management processes.

  • More than 5 years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 10 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $179,350 - $221,550
