Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking a Lead F-22 Modification/Repair Technician to support our F-22 program out of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at JB Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.

  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

  • Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).

  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).

  • Provides training and mentors others.

  • Works under minimal direction.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Electrical/Avionics on military aircrafts

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft modifications and repair.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, multimeters, and DMC tooling.

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts. Schedule based on program/site needs.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35

  • 1+ year(s) of aircraft maintenance leadership experience

  • 1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor+2 years' related work, etc.)

Summary Pay Range: $75,650 - 102,350
