Boeing Commercial Airplanes' 777 program is looking for a 777 ALIT Safety, Certification & Performance (SC&P) Senior Manager to join the Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT) in Everett, Washington. As a Senior Manager in the ALIT Integration Office, the manager will be part of the staff of the Chief Program Engineer.

The successful candidate will have engineering program management skills and experience with BCA Airplane Programs, Regulatory Administration, and the FAA. The candidate will have the ability to lead and influence other organizations (programs, functions) and the ability to take ambiguous and complex topics and clearly communicate intent, plans, and drive outcomes.

This is an exciting and unique leadership opportunity to support 777 legacy, including the future phase-out, as well as the 777-9 entry into service, which encompasses post-ATC change packages, First of Model (FOM) and complex Customer Introduction airplane FAA certification and international type validation efforts.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • 777 Chief Applicant delegate for CPE and ODA TRB voting member.
  • Ensure product integrity and safety of the 777 fleet and support key SRPs with the FCO.
  • Manage notifications of airworthiness standards non-compliances, including coordination with E-UMs on notifications and accepting non-compliances on behalf of the program.
  • Oversee 777 regulatory corrective actions and process compliance.
  • Review NPRMs, MOCs, issue papers, and other regulatory materials as the Boeing applicant.
  • Coordinate with Boeing Regulatory Administration leadership and the FAA 777 Program Manager on key program issues.
  • Lead various 777 airplane-level projects that require cross-functional integration, such as international regulator validation, and/or development assurance.
  • Manage program engineering performance to plan through ARRR, as well as certification risks and priorities for the 777 Program.
  • Review and approve Customer Performance Guarantees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site in Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in a management position.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate to both executives and engineers at all levels. 
  • Proven ability to manage and empower teams in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with Regulatory Administration and Regulators.
  • Experience in complex integration across multi-functional teams.
  • Experience in safety and risk management processes.
  • Engineering processes knowledge.
  • Experience with production systems.
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process

Summary Pay Range: $181,900 - $246,100
