Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Acoustics Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to support our team based in Everett, Washington.  

As an Acoustics Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping solutions that directly impact communities near airports and passengers aboard commercial airplanes worldwide. We are seeking energetic and innovative engineers to join our Flight Sciences team—a core group at the forefront of airplane-level design, integration, and support.

At Flight Sciences, we engage in every phase of the airplane lifecycle, from initial concept development through to fleet support. Our responsibilities include defining requirements, performing detailed design and configuration analysis, integrating across multiple disciplines, certifying aircraft, and providing ongoing fleet support for all Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA).

The Flight Sciences team encompasses diverse technical areas such as aerodynamics, noise and vibration, emissions, stability and control, weights, and static and dynamic loads. Join us to contribute your expertise in acoustics and help advance the future of aviation.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Experienced (level 3) Acoustics Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts acoustic and vibroacoustic analyses of new and derivative flight/launch vehicles.

  • Participates in the design and validation of noise/vibration control technologies for structural, sidewall, airframe, propulsion systems, nacelle, rotor and component elements of flight/launch vehicles to ensure compliance with noise regulations, requirements and system qualifications.

  • Conducts acoustic/vibroacoustic tests.

  • Coordinates noise/vibration control requirements and validation testing to demonstrate compliance with affected design groups and suppliers.

  • Develops and improves acoustics/aeroacoustics/vibroacoustics prediction and control technologies.

  • Supports internal and external customer requests for operational and compliance vibration/acoustic data of flight/launch vehicles.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.

  • Experience in acoustics analysis, noise control, or related engineering disciplines.

  • Experience with relevant software tools for acoustics modeling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS, LMS Test.Lab, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Master’s degree or higher in Acoustics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

  • Knowledge of acoustics or noise control or vibration engineering.

  • Experience with Python or MATLAB or other computer programming languages.

  • Experience with flight test data analysis and interpretation.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $83,300 - $112,700

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $103,700 - $140,300
