The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate, Mid-level, or Senior Systems Engineer (Certifications) to join the International Type Validation Team within the Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness organization in Everett, WA.

This key role will support the compliance of International Type Validation for production programs.  As a crucial member of this team, you will collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration and regulators worldwide to validate Boeing Commercial aircraft. This position offers a chance to make a significant global impact and contribute to Boeing's extensive international presence. You will be responsible for coordinating with global regulators, addressing technical challenges related to Type Validation, and preparing technical applications for regulatory authorities. This role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth and development, allowing you to tackle high-impact challenges and gain valuable knowledge in international validation.

A successful candidate should be prepared to travel internationally up to 10% of the time for meetings with regulatory authorities.  This role will also benefit from prior certification experience, as well as experience in the development and execution of project and process planning, and in the implementation of policies and procedures.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborates and coordinates with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies to successfully execute international type validation projects.
  • Navigates through various regulatory processes to identify effective solutions for complex problems, while providing guidance to all airplane programs.
  • Ensures regulator actions are successfully captured, implemented, and closed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates airplane validation risks effectively.
  • Defines and communicates validation task priorities to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads and facilitates discussions with the FAA, foreign regulatory agencies, and airplane program leaders.
  • Integrates with airplane programs to incorporate international regulator requirements into technical applications.
  • Drafts technical applications to support type validation.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Experience utilizing project processes/skills in developing, leading, and executing projects. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience in presenting data to customers, suppliers, and program and site leaders.
  • Experience with designing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experience with aircraft design, certification, integration, or related field.
  • Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness.
  • Experience with airplane safety and certification processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level 2): $87,550 - $118,450
  • Experienced (Level 3): $104,550 - $141,450
  • Senior (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
