Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), 777X Airplane organization is seeking a highly talented Associate Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join their team in Everett, WA.

Position Overview:

Our team is committed to engineering excellence in support of the 777X airplane program. We are a team of highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

This position will support one or all the sub-teams within Environmental Controls Systems (ECS):

CPCS system, CACTCS system, Low Pressure Systems and analysis, EE Cooling, Liquid Cooling Systems, and Decompression Analysis. This position will support the following programs: 777-9 and/or 777-8F Development

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for group work statement, performance to plan, review and oversight of deliverables

  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team of Engineers

  • Ability to communicate progress and help needed to leadership

  • Ability to manage priorities and provide concise daily direction to the team

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Strong working together principles

  • Background in Environmental Control Systems, with an understanding and willingness to learn systems architecture, analysis, certification, and equipment management.

  • Requirements Traceability & Development Assurance

  • System Safety Analysis Documentation

  • Airplane Support Manuals

  • System and software testing

  • Supplier development, testing, and production activities, guiding suppliers to optimize integration and achieve program goals

Work Authorization:

This position is required to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • 2+ years of engineering experience

  • 2+ years of experience using Boeing-specific engineering tools and processes across multiple commercial programs

  • General understanding of Customer & Supplier Data Transmittal (CSDT), Engineering Tracking & Control (ETAC), Design Change Classification System (DCCS), and other tools such as PDM, IRAP, JENA.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Knowledge in system controls, mechanical systems, systems modeling, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.

  • Knowledge in airplane development

  • Experience with airplane certification

  • Experience in Cabin Pressure Analysis

  • Experience in systems development, qualifications, flight tests, and certifications

  • Understanding of airplane integration 

  • Skilled at requirements development, validation and verification

  • Background in System Safety Analysis preferred

  • Experience in Environmental Control Systems (ECS); Air Conditioning, Anti-Ice, Bleed Air Supply, Cabin Pressure Controls, Low Pressure preferred

  • Strong project management skills to independently execute a variety of projects to completion

Pay and Benefits:

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level 2): $91,000 - $123,000
