Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Avionics organization has multiple exciting opportunities for highly motivated and talented First line Avionics Model Manager (Level - K) to manage our team in Everett, WA.

Position Overview:

In this role you will apply your leadership skills, technical expertise, and commitment to quality to support avionics and represent avionics to the programs as model managers. The ideal candidate will excel in engineering technical acumen/excellence while also being an engaging and motivating people leader.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and represent Avionics to the programs through the phases of Type Inspection Authorization (TIA), Amendment to Type Certificate (ATC), and Entry Into Service (EIS), and beyond.

  • Provide integration for the avionics teams on efforts such as TIA readiness, Program PTPs, ETAC events summary, certification, and key projects in work by multiple avionics teams.

  • Serve as the primary interface between the Avionics Design Center and the program to communicate progress and mitigate risk. This includes communicating both ways, from the program to avionics and from avionics to the programs.

  • May require interfacing with Boeing stakeholders both within engineering and outside of engineering.

  • Provide oversight and technical management of avionics portfolio for the program.

  • Track and manage statement of work on time performance.

  • Eliminate and mitigate technical and program-management-related roadblocks and risks.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.

  • Experience in system integration and applying engineering principles.

  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.

  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to all stakeholders.

  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$147,050 - $198,950
