The BCA team is looking for a Cabin & Cargo Systems Senior Manager (Level L) to join the team in Everett, WA. The Senior Manager manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of Cabin Systems features for the 787 and 777 airplane families. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements integrated departmental plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.

  • Forecasts, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and departmental requirements.

  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities of first-level managers and others within their department.

  • Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers and direct reports.

  • Establishes and/or implements policies, procedures and documents to ensure consistent execution of processes within department in support of Boeing and regulatory requirements. Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of previous management experience managing technical and/or engineering teams

  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace/aviation industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Cabin Systems and In-flight Entertainment development and execution

  • 5+ years of experience in the development, integration, verification and certification of aircraft systems

  • Skilled in advising and influencing managers or non-management employees to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

  • Previous FAA and/or EASA Certification Experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work time

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$171,700 - $232,300
