Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Estimating, Pricing and Analytics is seeking a results-oriented Cost Recovery Estimating Manager with strong customer-focus, process deployment, and project management skills to lead the Recurring Cost Recovery Estimating Team in Everett, WA; Renton, WA; or Charleston, SC.

The Recurring Cost Recovery Estimating Team is responsible for developing and implementing scalable cost recovery estimating processes to capture damages incurred by our programs resulting from supplier non-performance (e.g. late parts, non-conforming parts, manufacturing disruption, engineering support).

The selected leader will guide a team comprised of Boeing and contract employees located across the globe in support of developing and executing cost recovery claims to reinforce supplier quality and delivery performance and enable contractual recovery.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Engages with cross-functional stakeholders from Program, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Legal to collect data and develop claims

  • Partners with Airplane Program and Supply Chain Leaders to prioritize recovery projects

  • Provides routine visibility of Cost Recovery performance throughout the lifecycle of cost recovery

  • Advises Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Leadership on the technical, qualitative, quantitative, and legal aspects of in-work recoveries

  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves standard technical approaches, products and processes for the cost recovery team

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a business-related function (e.g., Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement, Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management)

  • 3+ years leading projects or teams

  • 1+ year of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions, and building positive relationships with business partners

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and drive accountability in senior leadership briefings using effective presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience in Business Intelligence, Project Management, Boeing Supply Chain

  • Ability to adapt to change and emerging requirements

  • A passion for leading and developing a team of individual contributors in a virtual environment

  • Ability to bring a diverse group of stakeholders together to achieve a common goal

  • Data analytics comprehension or experience/familiarity (examples: SQL, Tableau)

  • Experience conducting critical assessment of data inputs to support quality estimate results

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $133,450 - $180,550
