Boeing's Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness is seeking aDatabase Product Specialist to join our team in Everett, Washington. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance in aircraft certification. We are seeking a skilled Database Product Specialist to lead our efforts in managing regulatory regulations and requirements within a model-based engineering environment.


The Database Product Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of databases that support regulatory compliance for aircraft certification in a model-based systems environment. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all regulatory requirements are accurately captured, maintained, and reported. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, regulatory compliance, and model-based engineering practices.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Database Product Specialist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of databases that track regulatory requirements and compliance for aircraft certification

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and certification teams to gather and analyze regulatory requirements and ensure they are integrated into the database systems

  • Develop and implement processes for data collection, validation, and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on database management and engineering processes

  • Provide training and support to team members on database usage and regulatory compliance practices

  • Work closely with IT and software development teams to enhance database functionality and ensure data integrity

  • Prepare and present reports on regulatory compliance status to senior management and stakeholders

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database management and regulatory compliance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in database management, product management, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace industry

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for aircraft certification and model-based engineering principles

  • Proficiency in the database management system DOORS and data analysis tools

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior: 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory bodies (e.g., FAA, EASA) and their certification processes

  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance management systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range (Mid-level): $98,600 - $133,400

Summary Pay Range (Senior): $121,550 - $164,450
