Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced or Senior Safety & Airworthiness Specialist (Safety & Regulatory) to work in Everett, WA.

This role will serve as a single point of contact for Engineering unit member (E-UM) certification focal and safety and airworthiness (SAW) focal for Mechanical Hydraulic Systems.  This includes working directly with E-UMs and E-UM Advisors to develop training plans, support E-UM annual performance reviews, and ensure the health of the Mechanical Hydraulic Systems E-UM community. In addition to E-UMs, the SAW focal role includes working with Design Approval Engineers (DAEs) to develop training plans, support audits, and support functional managers in maintaining enough DAEs.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates strategies, policies, and initiatives to enhance safety and airworthiness of Boeing products and services.
  • Collaborates with external stakeholders (customers, regulators, industry, and external organizations) to identify safety and airworthiness issues and supports developing and implementing solutions.
  • Addresses safety and regulatory technical inquires and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports and facilitates the investigation of organizational factors that contribute to safety and airworthiness issues.
  • Supports the deployment and implementation of safety and regulatory policy, standards, and guidance.
  • Participates in advocating internally and externally for safety and regulatory enhancements to support Boeing products and services.
  • Provides technical guidance and training relative to moderately complex safety and airworthiness matters.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Experienced (Level 3): 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Senior (Level 4): 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience in presenting data to customers, suppliers, and program and site leaders.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Experienced (Level 3): $98,600 - $133,400
  • Senior (Level 4): $121,550 - $164,450
