The Boeing Company, Flight Controls is looking for Guidance Navigation and Control Engineering Manager (Level K) to support the team in Everett,Washington.

Position Overview:

This role requires technical knowledge of the Flight Control system and strong leadership capabilities to manage critical work statement within the team. This is a general Flight Control management requisition. Exact placement within the organization will depend on the candidate’s strengths and the organization’s needs. This position may manage an Integration team or an Equipment teams (Electronic or Mechanical focus) or an Autoflight/Primary Control Law team on the 777X program or within the Flight Control Design Center.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Managing team priorities, work statement, and budget allocation

  • Oversight of technical decision-making and engineering quality

  • Reporting and elevating status to senior leadership

  • Direct coordination with Suppliers and/or Customers

  • Performance management and mentorship of an engineering team

  • Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aero, System Stress, Production Engineering, and/or Supply Chain

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 2+ years of experience leading a project or a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Flight Controls system design

  • Experience working development and sustaining programs

  • Experience working with system engineering principles

  • Experience working directly with Boeing suppliers and customers

  • Experience leading and mentoring large engineering teams

  • Knowledge of flight controls systems

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and manage tasks while adhering to schedules, take responsibility for all aspects of issue resolution, and lead teams through rapidly changing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$147,050 - $198,950
