Boeing’s Scientific Imaging team is a leading innovator in the field of 360° photography, dedicated to creating photographic records with technical accuracy and dedication to process driven objectives.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Image Stitcher to join our dynamic team in Everett, WA. This unique position is essential for producing high-quality equirectangular images that enhance our virtual reality offerings.


As an Image Stitcher, you will be responsible for utilizing PT GUI, Photoshop, Lightroom, and software and other image processing tools to seamlessly stitch together multiple high-resolution images into a cohesive equirectangular format. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that our 360° records are technically accurate and meeting all process requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of image processing, best practices, and a passion for technical photography technology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize PT GUI and other image processing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to stitch high-resolution images into equirectangular formats for virtual reality applications.

  • Ensure the highest quality of stitched images by meticulously adjusting settings and correcting any discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with the APEX team to understand project requirements and deliver images that meet engineering and technical standards.

  • Conduct quality checks on stitched images to ensure they are free of artifacts and meet resolution specifications.

  • Maintain organized records of all stitched images and project files for easy access and reference.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in image stitching and virtual reality to continuously improve processes.

  • Troubleshoot and solve any technical issues that arise during the stitching process.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in image stitching, using PT GUI or similar software

  • Experience with image processing techniques and principles

  • Experience working with high-resolution images and various file formats

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

  • Familiarity with virtual reality technologies and applications

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $81,600 - $110,400
