The Boeing Company is currently seeking a proactive, collaborative and experienced Industrial Hygienist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Everett, WA and be part of a world-class company.

This Industrial Hygienist position will provide technical industrial hygiene (IH) support for the Everett, WA site. The duties for this role include, but are not limited to, conducting industrial hygiene surveys to evaluate occupational exposures to chemical, biological and noise hazards. Responsibilities also include providing technical guidance and audit support for IH programs such as Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Confined Space, and Chemical Specific Standards.

The selected candidate will be part of developing and promoting a culture of safety where safety is the foundation of everything we do. 

The Everett site is a three-shift operation so some flexibility to occasionally work on evening/night shifts is necessary. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop/follow industrial hygiene sampling protocols (calibrate and prepare sampling equipment and complete air sampling studies), evaluate the results, prepare IH reports and communicate the results and any corrective actions

  • Act as a chemical and noise exposure resource including provide personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements/recommendations, new material introductions, develop hazard information sheets and provide IH support to the manufacturing business partners/organizations

  • Provide and develop training and instructions for EHS related topics

  • Conduct audits, inspections, assessments, annual program reviews and investigations to identify and resolve EHS hazards and non-compliance

  • Analyze and interpret survey findings, define control measures and track corrective action plans to reduce or eliminate risk

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Public Health, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience performing industrial hygiene work within a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Public Health, etc.)

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects   

  • Industrial Hygiene (compliance, monitoring, assessments, planning, regulations) to included Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Ventilation, Confined Space, Heat Stress and Ionizing Radiation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Level 3: $95,200 - $128,800

Summary pay range for Level 4: $118,150 - $159,850
