The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Incident Response Specialist to join the team in Everett, WA; Renton, WA; Kent, WA; or Seattle, WA.

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Incident Response Specialist - eDiscovery and Computing Forensics - to join the Information Security Computing Forensics team in the Washington area.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, high volume environment supporting attorneys, paralegals, and investigators across the enterprise by identifying, collecting, preserving, and analyzing responsive data and digital evidence. An ideal applicant will communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals as well as with all levels of management and third parties, work autonomy and as a team player and maintain extreme confidentiality in sensitive matters.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or perform eDiscovery collections and legally hold preservation activities in collaboration with The Boeing Law Department

  • Supplement Information Security Computing Forensics incident response activities across broad and sometimes undefined technology profiles that can include multiple systems

  • Determine incident scope, nature, technical mechanisms, personnel involvement, and business impact

  • Identify incident path and method

  • Collect and preserve evidence

  • Perform event correlation and analysis

  • Define and monitor time critical risk mitigation steps

  • Draft, review, and deliver incident/investigation reports and make recommendations for future team and technical method process enhancements

  • Provide testimony in administrative and criminal hearings

  • Research and propose undefined technical response methods, tools and processes

  • Assist management and end users with access to inaccessible data needed for business continuity purposes, audit assistance, and data spill containment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with incident response

  • Experience in a Cybersecurity Operations Center with monitoring and incident response

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience using eDiscovery and digital forensics tools beyond the classroom environment

  • Experience with Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)

  • Experience drafting technical findings reports based on network or system analysis to include incident path and user attribution

  • Experience with tools that may include, but are not limited to enterprise eDiscovery

  • Experience with applications, Sherpa Software’s Discovery Attender, AccessData’s Forensic Toolkit (FTK), XWays, Cellebrite, Magnet Forensics Axiom or Internet Evidence Finder (IEF), F-Response, hardware write blockers, Passware, Splunk, etc.

  • Experience performing computer and/or network incident log analysis or computing related hardware and/or software investigations

  • Certification in the field of eDiscovery and/or Computer Forensics and/or Information Security (i.e. Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), CISSP, Security+, etc.)

Summary pay range: $108,800 - $147,200
