The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join the team in Everett, WA; Berkeley, MO; Huntington Beach, CA; Kent, WA; North Charleston, SC; Renton, WA; Ridley Park, PA; Seattle, WA; or Tukwila, WA

The Mid-Level Software Developer will be working with the Wire Information and Release System (WIRS) team and will be working with the Electrical domain to perform duties on production support work items and day-to-day assignments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs in Electrical Engineering Systems

  • Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements

  • Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications

  • Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance in Electrical Domain

  • Identifies and recommends improvements

  • Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems

  • Maintains the WIRS Account Administration Tool

  • Monitors and maintains the WIRS Ecosystem

  • Performs WIRS Data Exploration and Repair as needed by constructing custom extracts and Investigating issues at the data level

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Computing and Programming language like C#, C++, C, COBOL (read only), Visual Basic for Applications (MS-Access)

  • 5+ years of experience with Project Management Tools like Team Foundation Server, Quality Center

  • 5+ years of experience with Relational Databases such as SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata

  • 5+ years of experience with Configuration Control Tools such as GIT, Visual Source Safe, Clear Case

  • 5+ years of experience Windows, Linux (Oracle 8+ and Red Hat 6-7) Operating Systems

  • 5+ years of experience with Documentation Tools such as Microsoft tools such as Word, Visio, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, methodologies and tooling

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, GIT, IIS, Windows Server

  • Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)/Tanzu and/or exposure to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with Cloud technologies and/or Cloud-native app development and microservices

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $93,500 – $135,700
