Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Quality Engineer and Program Manager (Level K) to join our767 Quality Engineering team in Everett, WA.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable and competent professionals who possess the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries.  The ideal candidate will leverage transformational leadership skills to lead our Quality Engineering teams and drive innovative solutions into the Boeing Production System. The Quality Engineering teams support production by driving process improvements to eliminate escapes and defects, and by designing advanced inspection systems to ensure all products meet the highest Safety and Quality standards.  Our Quality Engineering managers will lead the resolution of complex engineering and production challenges and will have a critical role in the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities in support of the manufacturing business units through all phases of the product lifecycle

  • Leads change and improvement across the production system

  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data

  • Teaches and rely on structured problem-solving methods to resolve issues and drive improvement

  • Understands and teach current standards, policies and requirements

  • Communicates with internal and external regulatory and compliance officials and support onsite audits

  • Leads and support implementation of the Built-in Quality and improvement initiatives across Fabrication using understanding of established and regulated production and quality system

  • Implements solutions and drive decisions effectively through reliance on heavy data analysis

  • Utilizes new and innovative approaches including advanced process and production oversight methods and new technology throughout the course of their assignment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience root cause analysis and corrective action

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions

  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working in a lead role responsible for planning, organizing, and leading personnel to solve complex technical problems

  • 3+ years of experience with Engineering and Change Processes

  • 3+ years of experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment

  • 1+ years of prior management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches

Summary pay range (Level K) - $132,500 - $153,000
