Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Quality Engineers to join the Product Development Quality Team located in Everett, WA.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Experienced (Level 3) Quality Engineers.

As a member of a cross-functional product development team, you will help design the future BCA commercial airplane and its production system. Your primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance the integrity of the conformance system by leading producibility and capability studies, conducting risk assessments, and developing advanced inspection technologies. The job requires proactive, ongoing collaboration with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality stakeholders. Our primary mission is to develop an industry leading quality management system for the future.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents quality function on team activities to integrate contractual, technical and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation 
  • Develops quality metrics, to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements 
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes and requirements are incorporated into product designs 
  • Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Develops conformance methods for experimental material and fabrication processes while ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies program technology requirements to ensure conformance technologies support program performance targets

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, Boeing specifications, change, design) 
  • 1+ years of experience in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions 
  • 1+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventive Action, Root Cause Corrective Action 
  • 1+ years of experience working with product conformance and process compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience  
  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry 
  • 3+ years of experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project, Visio, Power Bi, CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, MATLAB, MinTab, MSSS, Teradata, etc.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and experience in supplier audits (e.g. system, product, and process audit assessment) 
  • Composite fabrication and assembly production for large-scale product integration
  • Experience working with multi-disciplined engineering teams in regulated industries
  • Strong problem-solving using diverse approaches, requirements verification & validation, and development risk assessment planning

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate: $82,800 - $106,000

Summary Pay Range for Experienced: $99,900 - $127,650
