Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Specialist – KC-46 (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the Quality Assurance group located in Everett, WA.

Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality in aerospace manufacturing? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Systems Specialist to join the KC-46 quality team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. A significant aspect of this role involves managing and performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) on Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) received from the United States Air Force (USAF). PQDRs are formal documents used to report deficiencies in products or systems that may affect their performance, reliability, or safety. Your responsibility will include investigating these reports to identify the root causes of issues, collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective preventive or corrective actions, and ensuring that these actions are implemented effectively. Your responsibilities will include assuring that program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are effectively deployed while utilizing statistical methods and quality tools to continuously improve process capability. Additionally, you will conduct hardware and system-level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, and related business, regulatory, and customer requirements. Analyzing data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, and equipment will also be a key part of your role. Position Responsibilities:

Level 3:

  • Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems.
  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions and develops a coordinated response for management review and approval.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.

Level 4:

  • Leads Quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
  • Develops Quality budget and cost estimates. Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions.
  • Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management.
  • Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and reports results to management.
  • Trains senior management on preparation for third party audits.
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for complex nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
  • Assists in the development of new standard repairs for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment. Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience data mining, analyzing data, and presenting findings
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality role
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1+ year of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
  • Material Review Board (MRB) experience

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: Level 3 USD: $86,700 - $117,300

                                   Level 4 USD: $107,100 - $144,900
