The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior (Level 4) or Principal (Level 5) Aerospace Safety & Airworthiness Engineer to join our organization onsite in Everett, WA. This role will work in the Aerospace Safety Analytics (ASA) team and support the Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO).

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior (Level 4) or Principal (Level 5) Aerospace Safety & Operations Engineers.

You will translate stakeholder needs into prioritized analytic questions/requirements, add real world engineering or operational context to analytic outputs, and shape activities that leverage company and industry expertise to drive measurable safety improvements. You will partner with ASA data scientists and engineers, program SMEs, operators, and regulators to ensure analyses are traceable, reproducible, and practically useful.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead processes and activities to understand and elicit safety challenges and concerns and ensure that the team’s data and findings are effectively communicated and integrated into design, operational, or procedural processes.
  • Lead and inform the development of requirements for analytic products to empower meaningful and practical real-world safety improvements.
  • Interface with stakeholders and users to gather needs, translate them into prioritized, actionable questions and success criteria, and shape messaging so findings drive practical change.
  • Partner closely with ASA data scientists and engineers to interpret analytic results, provide operational or engineering context, and ensure analyses answer the right questions.
  • Serve as an on team resource for how aircraft are operated or how aircraft systems are designed; when needed, identify and engage designated external SMEs, translate ASA needs for them, and incorporate SME input into a coherent, practical approach.
  • Mentor ASA team members to grow domain fluency and improve the team’s ability to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and deliver impactful recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal program SMEs, airlines/operators, and regulatory contacts to expedite data access, validate findings, and influence mitigations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
