The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior PLM Technical Specialist to support the development, documentation, and implementation of engineering tools and processes within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) environment in Everett, Washington. This position will focus on driving both internally developed and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software solutions, facilitating training initiatives, and serving as a subject matter expert to enhance collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in electrical fabrication, manufacturing engineering, and industrial engineering.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Define, document, and improve electrical design processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance with Boeing and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT & DA) and BCA Software Engineering to develop and maintain software solutions.
  • Customize and maintain electrical engineering developed design software tools to support BCA & Enterprise (e.g., BDS, BGS, BCF) electrical engineering teams.
  • Manage and improve design processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with Boeing and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical design engineers to understand workflow challenges and implement software solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training to users of electrical design software tools.
  • Evaluate and integrate new software tools and technologies to enhance electrical design capabilities.
  • Document software tools, processes, and best practices for use across the team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure software tools and processes comply with Boeing’s safety, quality, and security standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process standardization.
  • Design and evaluate electrical design processes to ensure compliance with regulations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):             

  • Associate degree in a technical field and/or non-degree with job-related experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electrical design software tools such as WIRS, MAPPER, Siemens Capital, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electrical design processes and standards in aerospace or related industries.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and version control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with Boeing’s electrical design standards and processes.
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and certification processes in aerospace.

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $128,350 - $173,650
