The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and inclusive Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead the Mission Systems (MS) Production programs in Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA.

The MS Production PM is responsible for integration of all functions to ensure that the KC-46 Mission Systems hardware and software are built and integrated onto the aircraft safely, and with good quality to support delivery of KC-46 aircraft. This role requires integration and partnering with the US Air Force acquisition office based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, as well as strong partnering with internal and external suppliers. The MS Production PM will lead the team in alignment with the Enterprise Standard Gated Process, Boeing Program Management Best Practices, contract requirements, and US Government acquisition policies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead employees and managers in execution of all activities required to deliver Mission Systems capabilities on KC-46 aircraft, including executing configuration changes and improvements, Boeing internal supplier SOW production and execution, managing third-party government partnerships, leading quality improvements, and resolving emergent production issues for both domestic and international customers.
  • Perform business management for cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, create and follow policies and procedures, and guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives related to Mission Systems Production.
  • Acquire resources for organizational activities, providing technical management of suppliers and leading process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with the USAF customer, suppliers, and Boeing teams across the enterprise, including BDS, BCA, BGS, and BT&E.
  • Manage budget and execution of Boeing internal suppliers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in management or relevant leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience in critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy
  • Knowledge and application of program management best practices in a program environment
  • Experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering and / or computer science
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Engineering execution of development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability in developing and influencing key internal and external relationships of all levels to execute a major program.
  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of military customers, military processes, military aircraft and sustainment ecosystem, or actual military experience.
  • Working knowledge of military and commercial aviation certification practices and processes.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range for $168,300 - $227,700
