The Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) Product Support Organization is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Systems Design & Integration Specialist to join our Integrated Logistics Planning & Management (ILPM) team in Everett, WA; Seattle, WA; Tukwila, WA; Mesa, AZ; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; or North Charleston, SC.    

Our team provides stability and complex solutions for various programs across the Boeing company. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Unix systems, networks, security, and cloud computing. They will work collaboratively with our larger IT team to ensure optimal system performance, infrastructure longevity, stability, and security.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of various applications’ infrastructure, including servers, Virtual Machines (VMs), networks, and data storage solutions

  • Leads and mentor the Information Technology (IT) systems team, assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to best practices, and fostering professional development

  • Provides advanced technical support and guidance for system-related issues, ensuring high performance, security, and availability of IT systems

  • Coordinates and manages IT projects, including system upgrades, network improvements, and integration of new technologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time

  • Implements and monitors cybersecurity measures, ensuring that all IT systems comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.

  • Designs, installs, configures, and maintains Unix/Linux servers and related hardware and software components

  • Monitors system performance, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and implement appropriate solutions

  • Performs security assessments and implement security best practices to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability

  • Collaborates with IT team to develop procedures and protocols to ensure optimal system performance and uptime

  • Evaluates applications’ fit for cloud migration then design and implement this new infrastructure

  • Manages backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures

  • Stays current with emerging trends and technologies in Unix/Linux and Cloud systems and incorporate into company's IT strategy

  • Leads others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements

  • Leads activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working under a Linux/Unix environment

  • 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting complex network problems

  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience in a role that required the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with both RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows servers, including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting

  • Experience managing, optimizing, and securing server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability

  • Experience with advanced features such as virtualization, automation, and patch management across both platforms

  • Experience integrating systems into a cohesive IT infrastructure to support organizational needs

  • Experience in PTC Windchill application – including application software installation, upgrades, and issue resolution

  • Experience with hardening systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and comply with military and federal cybersecurity requirements

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $120,700 – $174,800
