The Boeing Global Services Maintenance Engineering (BME) organization is seeking one Support Engineering Technical Manager in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  The role will focus on overseeing the integration of all domestic and international Maintenance Engineering Illustrations and some Authoring activities, developing new product offerings and strategies to transform the business, and successfully managing, developing, and motivating a team of employees.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
  • Manages employees performing activities related to Illustration and Authoring of Technical Manuals.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets Quality goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience leading and organizing deliverables to meet deadlines with minimal direction
  • 3+ year of experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Parts Management/Tech Data/IPB/ICP/Provisioning/Cataloging/Illustrations
  • Experience using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
  • Experience with fighter aircraft

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $129,200 – $174,800
