Senior Proposal Engineer – Aircraft Interiors

At Boeing Global Services, we deliver innovative aircraft interior solutions that redefine passenger experience and operational performance for customers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Engineer – Aircraft Interiors to take a leading role in shaping complex, high-value modification proposals across our Commercial Modifications Europe portfolio.

This is a senior engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical leadership, commercial insight, and customer focus—and who wants to see their work translated into aircraft flying across the global fleet.

From day one, you will be a trusted technical leader within the modification team, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and pride in both your work and the success of the wider organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Proposal Engineer, you will lead the development of technically robust, commercially competitive aircraft interior modification proposals, supporting the full lifecycle from customer engagement through contract handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical leadership in supporting sales and customers in the development of customer solutions

  • Collaborating with colleagues to turn those solutions into technical work statements with associated hours, required parts and materials, meetings and travel and certification path

  • Calculate costs and pricing, achievable schedule and mitigate identified risks

  • Pulling everything together into clear, accurate proposals to present to leadership and offer to customers

  • Support handover of contracted work to execution phase

  • Mentoring Junior Engineers

  • Identifying and leading improvement initiatives

  • Occasionally travelling domestically or internationally to support projects

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Minimum 10-years aviation/aerospace industry experience with 5 years within an EASA Part 21 Design or equivalent environment

  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors is essential

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of EASA CS25 requirements applicable to aircraft interiors is highly desirable

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
