Boeing is looking for DevOPS Engineerlocated in Gdansk, Poland.

We are seeking a person who is open-minded, effective in resolving problems and roadblocks and who will also efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations.

As a DevOPS engineer you will be working in agile team developing & maintaining OPT product.

Onboard Performance Tool enables airline flight crew and ground personnel to perform real-time weight and balance and takeoff and landing calculations for all current Boeing airframes. Using current passenger, cargo, weather and runway conditions, it reduces maintenance costs by preventing engine wear and tear and increases revenue by optimizing passenger and cargo capacity.

It is a multi-platform product working on iOS and Windows devices.


Technology Stack:

Basic qualifications:

  • Cloud: Azure, Terraform, Terragrunt, Packer
  • Scripting: Bash, Powershell
  • CI/CD: Azure DevOps
  • Operating system: Linux, Windows, MacOS
  • Version control: Azure DevOpsRequired
  • Skills/Experience:
  • Fluency with scripting and automation languages such as Bash, Powershell, Ansible.
  • Fluency with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Fluency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Packer.
  • Knowledge of Azure services, including VM, VMSS, KeyVault, Azure Compute Gallery.
  • Streamline and optimize CI/CD processes, automating build and test pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Preferred qualifications (Nice to have):

  • Good understanding of automation tools, especially using Ansible.
  • Good understanding of Windows and MacOS operating systems for configuration and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system for configuration and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of Git version control tool.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development and implementation of DevOps solutions for development, test and production cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Enhance cloud architecture, implementing best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt.
  • Implement and maintain configuration of cloud VMs and on-prem machines using tools like Packer, Ansible.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and mutual support.
  • Familiarity with logging/monitoring/alerting stacks (Azure Monitor, Blazemeter, Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, PagerDuty, OpenTracing, etc).

This requisition is for a locally hired position in POLAND. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
