This role focuses on CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, release engineering, observability, resiliency, and cost governance across Azure and Databricks-based environments.

  • Integrate secure secrets management (Azure Key Vault), RBAC, and policy-as-code to enforce least-privilege and compliance.

  • Implement release strategies (blue/green, canary), automated testing (linting, unit/integration, infra validation), and robust rollback procedures.

  • Build observability and SRE practices: metrics, logging, dashboards, alerts (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Databricks metrics), SLAs/SLOs/SLIs, and runbooks.

  • Drive autoscaling, right-sizing, and cost-optimization for cloud resources; provide recommendations and governance for platform spend.

  • Support incident response, perform RCA/blameless postmortems, and participate in/hand off on-call rotations during transition.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, security, and architects to operationalize features and ensure production readiness.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering supporting production services.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure platform services and Databricks operationalization.

  • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

  • Practical IaC expertise with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.

  • Strong knowledge of secrets management, IAM/RBAC, and policy-as-code.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior experience supporting large-scale data or streaming platforms (Spark, Delta Lake, ADLS Gen2).

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS) and artifact registries (ACR).

  • Experience defining SLAs/SLOs and SRE practices in production.

  • Certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or Databricks certifications.

  • Experience in regulated/safety-critical environments (aerospace preferred).

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive operational outcomes, and mentor junior engineers.

  • Decision-making under pressure and ownership of platform reliability.
