An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland sp. z o.o. as a Software DevOps Engineer (Experienced or Senior level) based in Gdańsk, Warsaw, or Rzeszów, Poland.

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.       

As a Software DevOps Engineer (Experienced or Senior level) you will join the AvionX Poland team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing AvionX.

Hiring details:

  • This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

  • This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańsk, Warsaw or Rzeszów office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software DevOps Engineer (Experienced or Senior level) to join our team. This role drives automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and operational excellence for cloud-native and on-premise embedded systems. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who can design and implement scalable, secure, and observable deployment pipelines, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve reliability and delivery velocity.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 3 (Experienced):

  • 4+ years of professional experience

  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI

  • Familiarity with Build tools (Bazel, CMake, Maven, Bitbake)

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and Linux system administration

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of configuration and infrastructure management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt

  • Demonstrated design and system thinking skills

  • Collaborating in international and multi-national projects

 Level 4 (Senior):

  • 6+ years of professional experience

  • Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and Linux system administration

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in at least one high-level modern programming language

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing systems (Grafana, Prometheus)

  • Familiarity with Build tools (Bazel, CMake, Maven, Bitbake)

  • Good knowledge of configuration and infrastructure management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt

  • Demonstrated design and system thinking skills

  • Collaborating in international and multi-national projects
