Boeing Poland is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team in Gdansk.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate industry-leading expertise in one or more electronic systems across multiple aircraft and the ability to lead engineering work toward common goals. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying complex technical ideas to senior leadership. You will collaborate directly with a global, multicultural team of engineers. Position responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and certification requirements, including ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254.

  • Tests and validates system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Troubleshoots and provides support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Authors and peer-reviews Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), and System Safety Assessment (SSA) documents.

  • Travels internationally on occasion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft or aerospace network architecture, avionics, or complex embedded networking systems.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience with product development life cycle (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754), requirements management and design review.

  • Relevant experience with environmental qualification process.

  • Relevant experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), and ARP4761 Safety Assessment.

  • Relevant experience with product certification process.
