Job Description:

The Customer Program Management (CPM) team are focused on managing product delivery execution of the modification Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) for Avionics, Interiors, Connectivity, and Airplane Performance/Systems) to provide maximum lifecycle value.

In this role, the focus will be on delivering a market leading total customer experience.  The Customer Program Management (CPM) team manages all Program relationships and interactions with customers (internal and external), in collaboration with Boeing Sales and Marketing teams (BCA and BGS) and Modification Product Line teams to execute on delivery commitments and drive growth to meet or exceed the business plan.  

Our team are currently seeking a Project Management Specialist – Level 3 within the Customer Program Management team in Hamburg, Germany.

In this role, the focus will be on planning and executing BGS Modifications customer engagements for Eurasia Region customers to build customer trust in our ability to execute against our Modification commitments. 

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting.  On-site presence is typically required at a minimum of 3 days per week, as well as periodic travel to engage with product line teams in Long Beach, CA, Dublin and Frimley and, in select cases/need, to customer locations.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Prime point of customer contact for contracted engineering changes with Boeing Modification Services.

  • Manage customer expectations and deliverables, including robust communications and performance to plan updates. 

  • Prime focal for Modification Statement of Work and integration of all related engineering activities.

  • Responsible for the comprehensive execution of schedule by thorough implementation of Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) management.

  • Use written and communication skills to effectively develop product and services statement of work that will satisfy customer requests.

  • Identify and manage future changes to statement of work and incorporate lessons learned for future product and service offerings.

  • Upon Customer acceptance of a product or service, the Customer Project Management focal person will lead customer engagement, manage performance metrics to plan, identify and coordinate resources required and identify alternate solutions/ options as required to maintain or improve schedule whilst coordinating with internal and external customers.

  • Close interaction with Engineering functions, Material supply functions, Modification Leadership and Airworthiness/ Safety functions will be required to both enhance and foster Boeing internal relationships across Modification Services and the Enterprise.

  • Support Eurasia Region Operator customers across.

This is a “hybrid to in-person work” position. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a role requiring project/program management skills and good understanding of aircraft systems and modifications.

  • 3+ years’ experience working in an environment with competing and changing priorities.

  • 3+ years’ experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.

  • 3+ years’ experience developing and delivering project & program updates Senior leaders.

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is a plus.

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment.

  • Experience with Engineering, Modificaions, Proposal development and Contracts.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. This requisition is for an international, locally hired position. Pay and benefits will be determined at the local level.  Successful candidates must have legal authorization to work in Germany for continued employment.
