We are seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) for Tokyo’s Haneda airport to supporting Airline customer in Japan

Role Summary:

The FSR will provide both on-site and remote technical support and representation to Boeing airline customers.  The FSR will work directly with airline customer personnel and must demonstrate adaptability to diverse cultural environments. Candidates should have experience in flexible, fast-paced environments requiring prompt responses to ad-hoc customer requests. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise (airframe, avionics, structures) and operational guidance to help customers maintain Boeing products.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, initiating corrective actions to ensure satisfaction with Boeing products and services.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety, with the ability to uphold and promote Boeing’s safety standards and first-time quality culture in all aspects of work.
  • Develop and coordinate support strategies with senior leaders to meet operational objectives.
  • Review maintenance, engineering, flight operations, and performance data; conduct root cause analysis to enhance aircraft reliability.
  • Interpret and communicate technical support data; provide on-the-job training and act as a liaison between Boeing and customers.
  • Support aircraft Entry-Into-Service (EIS) plans, including training and maintenance assistance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to leverage Boeing products for customer needs.
  • Monitor fleet status, respond to requests, and resolve technical issues.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, maintaining a positive attitude in crisis situations.
  • Provide 24/7 support as needed, including on-call availability for Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure effective solutions.
  • Initial work location is near Haneda airport, with potential future locations including Narita, Okinawa, or elsewhere in Japan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in engineering, engineering technology and/or an FAA Airframe & Powerplant license (or equivalent certification or military experience/training).
  • 5+ years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably with Boeing models.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and work effectively in diverse teams.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, including commercial airline technical operations.
  • Experience with customer support
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and emotional intelligence, with the ability to adapt and effectively conduct business across diverse countries, cultures, languages, and airline environments.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues on aircraft.
  • Experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of airline management on technical and operation issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing Haneda office and the listed location site. (Tokyo, Japan)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is NOT a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Some travel may be required, up to 10% of the time.

This requisition is for a locally hired position. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and not on Boeing US-based payroll.
