The Boeing Global Service (BGS) Government Training Engineering (GTE) organization is seeking an Early Career Information Technology Engineer for the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team in Hazelwood, MO.

We provide technical expertise for the development, definition and application of PLM tools and processes in support of the development of complex systems. We work in a collaborative team environment across engineering subject areas. The team works in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential. You will be a part of an organization that provides industry leadership in commercial and defense aviation training and capabilities, including custom software development, engineering and technical services, and a range of services to support training centers and pilot provisioning worldwide.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the management, administration and analytics of requirements and verification, understanding of functional architectures and defining system of systems

  • Leads and coordinates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements

  • Assists in coding and testing applications Facilitates development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes

  • Take direction from Lead Tools & Processes team and guides integrated product teams throughout the product life cycle, integrating data across tools and providing analyses from multiple sources/tools

  • Facilitates and supports systems engineering tasks associated with requirement decomposition, functional architecture/logical architecture, requirement traceability, and verification and validation of large complex systems

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1+ years’ experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Prior experience in the Aviation or Aerospace field

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership, both internal and external

  • Have excellent ability to communicate and work within an agile environment

  • Be highly accountable, responsible, reliable, flexible, and take extreme ownership

  • Experience with tools such as Bitbucket, Git, Jira, ClearQuest, ClearCase

  • Experience in a role requiring any type of process improvement

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Experience working in a cross-functional organization

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $71,400 - $96,600
