The Boeing Global Services team is seeking an Experienced Industrial Engineer to support the Government Training Systems for P8, F-15, T7, Apache, and/or other programs, based in Hazelwood, MO

These training systems are high-end flight simulators. The Experienced Industrial Engineer will focus on the building 288 production area expansion to support additional program work and F‑15EX. This role will also focus on establishing and improving tool control across our operations and technician teams. The role will also have a heavy focus on the position responsibilities described below:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creating and reporting on team metrics for production engineering, operations, and other departments such as logistics and hardware design

  • Leading and executing cost reduction projects and identifying cost reduction opportunities

  • Work with manufacturing engineering and operations on the creation, development and implementation of assembly fixtures 

  • Support training device and simulator production/integration with process analysis and improvement (cycle time reduction, rework reduction, standard work)

  • Perform work measurement and line balancing for hardware build, integration, and test activities to meet contractual schedule and throughput targets

  • Develop and maintain labor standards and capacity models to support staffing plans, new contract awards, and surge/recovery scenarios

  • Partner with Production Engineering and hardware design teams to ensure build plans and work instructions are efficient, manufacturable, and support reliable fielded training systems

  • Provide rate readiness and ramp‑up support for new or follow‑on Government Training programs, including production system impact and “what‑if” analyses

  • Analyze the impact of engineering changes and configuration updates on hours, capacity, and flow; provide data‑driven recommendations to minimize schedule and cost impact

  • Lead or support continuous improvement / Lean efforts in shops and labs (5S, layout optimization, material flow, kitting, visual management)

  • Build and use data and visualization tools (dashboards, metrics, reports) to monitor performance (schedule adherence, labor hours, rework, WIP) and drive decisions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role

  • 3+ years of experience in production work area layout / facility layout

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with or on cost reduction initiatives

  • 3+ years of combined experience supporting engineering teams developing business reports or metrics that influence decision making

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field

  • 1+ years of experience with coordinating the selection and acquisition of tools

  • 10+ years of experience performing industrial engineering work

  • 8+ years of experience with creating and coordinating production floor layouts

  • 8+ years creating, executing, and/or leading cost reduction projects

  • 4+ years of experience creating and reporting on team metrics for production and/or production engineering

  • 2+ years of experience with coordinating the selection and acquisition of tools

Summary pay range: $100,300 - $135,700
