Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Versatile Technologist to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composite Center (ACC).

The Aerospace Composite Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs. We are seeking a skilled technologist to join our team supporting the sustainment and modernization activities within the ACC domain.  This role is a critical enabler for exciting work related to the production of several of Boeing's critical defense products.   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze computing requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Consult with teams to determine system needs and specifications.
  • Perform a wide range of technical activities across systems and applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and system components on multiple platforms.
  • Develop, design, integrate, and maintain computer applications.
  • Plan and prepare software and hardware releases across the system.
  • Ensure systems align with architectural objectives and standards.
  • Evaluate complex systems for production readiness and ongoing supportability.
  • Restore computing service operations, from routine to complex incidents.
  • Integrate security solutions into information systems to ensure compliance and protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and applications.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and optimization.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in systems administration, application support, or related technical roles.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software across multiple platforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, cloud environments).
  • Experience with system integration and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and applications.
  • Familiarity with release planning and deployment of software and hardware updates.
  • Ability to document system configurations, changes, and procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating system readiness and resolving technical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in systems administration, application support, or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, configuration management).
  • Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of systems and applications.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Experience with database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data integration.

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $81,600 - $110,400
