The Boeing Company is looking for a Project and Portfolio Management Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; Auburn, WA; Kent, WA; Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Mesa, AZ; Seal Beach, CA or Arlington, VA.

Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Business Operation team is currently looking for an experienced specialist. This position will report to the IDT&S Business Operations Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the portfolio management function which encompass strategy integration, prioritization of projects and investments, financial performance, and oversight of work intake for internal and external requests. Essential duties of the role also include partnership with executive leaders and management to optimize alignment of resources.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports business and organizational operations by staying informed about policies, best practices, industry trends, and competitor activity, and applying that insight to improve decision‑making and operational effectiveness

  • Uses established channels and internal networks to coordinate effort and achieve results

  • Contributes to the organization’s strategic planning and supports initiatives that improve financial performance and business results

  • Communicates information and ideas clearly and persuasively across multiple media, engaging audiences and promoting understanding and retention

  • Identifies new opportunities and creative solutions by challenging current practices and applying innovative thinking to address problems and pursue improvements

  • Delivers products and services that meet rigorous technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies; champions first time quality by preventing, not passing on, defects and by speaking up when issues arise

  • Collects, organizes, synthesizes, and analyzes data; summarizes findings and develops evidence-based conclusions and recommendations

  • Defines and documents processes to achieve goals efficiently; organizes people and activities, decomposes and integrates tasks for optimized workflow, and identifies opportunities for synergy and simplification

  • Understands the big organizational picture and the interdependencies among roles and activities

  • Anticipates impacts of changes across the system and applies systems thinking to accelerate performance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with business operations and/or business process improvements

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis and/or data mining

  • 3+ years of experience have developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership

  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading the planning and execution of programs and projects

  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity

  • 3+ years of experience creating executive level presentations using Word, Power Point and Excel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in project or program management

  • Experience in budgeting and financial management

  • Experience managing global teams

  • Expertise in Microsoft for M365 products, communication, and collaboration

  • Experience working in complex environments and matrix organizations

  • Experience being proactive, motivated, and initiating high-level tasks or projects independently with limited external direction or encouragement

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $98,600 - $142,600

Summary pay range for Senior: $117,300 - $170,200
