The Boeing Company is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including (Lead or Senior) Project Engineer to join the Support Equipment Team in St. Louis, Missouri.  As a focal for Support Equipment growth opportunities, you will work directly with teams that represent multiple skill areas, program management, business development, leadership, subject matter experts, and other engineering teams.  With your leadership, these teams will identify and pursue opportunities to improve the efficiency, affordability and effectiveness of platform sustainment for internal and external customers through the use of Support Equipment.  Build your career as a Project Engineer by helping us perform and grow our Support Equipment portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Critical participant in the development, and ongoing evolution, of the overarching Support Equipment organization growth strategy
  • Collaborate with multiple skill teams to identify opportunities to expand the use of Boeing Support Equipment with internal and external customers
  • Take an active role in the development of technology and business roadmaps along with the identification and pursuit of any necessary investments
  • Provide recommendations regarding the prioritization of Support Equipment growth opportunities and related investments
  • Understand and support initiatives by collaborating with the capability teams and the business organizations
  • Communicate technical and business benefits to customers and senior management to obtain concurrence on program direction
  • Work closely with engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve the affordability and quality of the Support Equipment products

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Experience in developing business case analyses
  • Experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
  • 5+ years of experience leading business driven decisions to include budgets, staffing levels, Basis of Estimates (BoE), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Must have a have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience interfacing directly with military or commercial customers
  • 10+ years of experience with aircraft systems, structures, or propulsion
  • 10+ years of experience in Avionics and/or electrical ground support equipment

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range for Lead - level (Level 4): $136,850 – $185,150

Summary Pay Range for Senior - level (Level 5): $164,900 – $223,100
