Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) inHazelwood, MOis seekinga Senior Manufacturing Engineer, withexpertisein airplane structures, productionreadinessand composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of thestand-upof a composite fabrication center withintheBDS Fabricationorganization.

PositionResponsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes forair vehicle structures withcompositefabricationparts

  • Ensure production readiness byidentifyingand mitigating risks,optimizingworkflows, and enhancing operational efficiency

  • Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuringtimelydelivery of products to our customers

  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Participatein design reviews andprovideinput on manufacturability and assembly considerations

This position is expected to be 100% onsiteThe selected candidate willbe requiredto workonsiteat one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics,Chemistryor non-US equivalent qualificationsdirectly relatedto the work statement

  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience)

  • 1+ years ofexperienceincompositesfabrication 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering

  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

  • Experience with 3D model-based instruction

  • Experience with any of the following: Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold,PrimeR, Aurora,VisVSA, DELMIA,

  • Experience withVisMockup,ProModel,FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Maker Space,ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms, rapidprototypingor manufacturing 

  • Experience leading Full Size Determinant Assembly (FSDA) development/deployment activity

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systemscommonimage (MESci)

  • Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:$126,650 - $171,350

Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
