Job Description

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.

Boeing Global Services - Government (BGS-G) is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to lead supply strategy and planning efforts in Hazelwood, Missouri or Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

This role demands a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments, delivering clear, actionable insights that enable rapid decision-making. You will independently develop and execute pragmatic supply plans aligned with Boeing’s strategic goals, working closely with Supplier Management and cross-functional teams. Your focus will be on creating strategies that are not only data-driven but also practical and timely—prioritizing speed and impact over perfection to meet evolving supply chain challenges effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex demand signals into straightforward, actionable procurement strategies that can be quickly implemented.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year supply plans that balance rigor with agility to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Management and stakeholders to build strong supplier relationships and optimize supply arrangements.
  • Analyze data and market trends to identify risks and opportunities, delivering concise recommendations that drive immediate action.
  • Build scalable BI solutions using SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to support rapid insight generation.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions during supply constraints, ensuring strategies are aligned, practical, and executable.
  • Communicate complex analytics clearly and efficiently to executives and diverse teams, enabling swift decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement and supply chain transformation initiatives with a bias toward timely delivery.

Behavioral Traits:

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity, with a strong bias for action.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while fostering collaboration across supply chain, finance, manufacturing, and other functions.
  • Excellent communicator who can distill complex data into clear, concise insights that prompt quick, effective decisions.
  • Critical thinker and innovative problem solver focused on delivering value rapidly rather than perfecting every detail.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years in analytics roles focused on supply chain or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience developing data science algorithms to aid and assist in optimization and predictive analysis.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience collaborating across functions and communicating business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Math, or related field
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and influencing cross-organizational decisions.
  • Background in LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, and supplier management.
