The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Technical Orders Product Data Management Specialist to join the Technical Orders (TO) team in one of the following locations: Mesa, AZ; Long Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Everett, WA.

Join the TO team in a high-accountability role supporting DoD customers and enterprise-wide compliance. We are seeking a detail-driven professional with strong analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex, time-sensitive work. This role requires proactive issue identification, strong follow-through, and a commitment to maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready technical data.

Successful candidates demonstrate ownership, initiative, and the ability to drive work to completion with limited oversight. This role involves navigating ambiguous or incomplete information, prioritizing effectively, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, security, and compliance in all tasks.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Technical Orders Product Data Management Specialist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage acquisition, tracking, and controlled distribution of technical orders and manuals

  • Maintain and improve library catalog records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness

  • Analyze incoming data for gaps, inconsistencies, and compliance concerns; take corrective action or escalate appropriately

  • Validate end-user eligibility and ensure distribution aligns with DoD and export-control requirements

  • Manage DoD accounts, subscription actions, and inventory within established systems

  • Research complex questions and guide users in accessing required information

  • Lead resolution of post-delivery issues by identifying root causes and coordinating stakeholders

  • Perform recurring data integrity audits and drive remediation to closure

  • Identify process gaps and implement sustainable improvements using Lean principles

  • Manage and track team metrics and documentation and support team training

  • Assist with material disposition per Boeing policies and retention requirements

  • Operate with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and compliance

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience with technical documentation or technical information delivery

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Library/Information Science services

  • 2+ years working with DoD technical manuals or DoD technical data processes

  • Experience managing records, catalogs, inventory, or controlled information

  • Experience in data integrity work (data entry, reconciliation, or audit activities)

  • Experience with integrated library systems or digital records platforms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Experience applying Lean or continuous improvement practices

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex work with competing priorities

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize abstract or incomplete information

  • Familiarity with export-control regulations and DoD distribution requirements

Shift:

This role is primarily first shift (start time sometime between 9-11am CT); however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $69,700 - $101,200

Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $86,700 - $125,350

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
