Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) seeks an Audio/Visual Programmer to join our team in the National Capital Region to support direct work on high visibility projects with oversight and direct responsibility for successful support to our customers and users.  You will need to demonstrate proficiency in A/V programming and architecture, particularly with Crestron equipment and environments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test high performance AV solutions for government customers.
  • Generate custom audiovisual system designs using Crestron technologies
  • Support customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements.  Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer problems.
  • Support onsite deployment of AV systems and system configuration phases. Coordinate with customer facilities teams and other onsite sub-contractors and vendors during systems installation as required.
  • Support the development of end-user training materials and operations and maintenance plans.
  • Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.
  • Develop expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications.

This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4.
  • Crestron experience.
  • How many years of experience do you have with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic?
  • Network programming experience.
  • Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): 

  • Experience translating customer requirements into software designs.
  • Knowledge of software systems configuration management.
  • Experience with C# programming.
  • Experience with object orientated programming.
  • Experience with HTML/web programming (for user interface design).
  • Crestron Gold level programming Certification or higher.
  • Experience working with local and remote teams.
  • Experience interfacing directly with all levels of staff and management.
  • Experience working as a member of a development team.

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

Level 2: $90,100 to $121,900

Level 3: $113,050 to $152,950

Level 4: $138,550 to $187,450
