Boeing Global Servies (BGS) is seeking an Entry-Level Roads and Grounds Worker to join our team in Hertford, NC.

Open to Skillbridge applicants.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lawn Care: Mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, sod laying, and reseeding turf grass.
  • Landscaping & Horticulture: Planting and caring for trees, shrubs, flowers, and flower beds.
  • Vegetation Management: Trimming hedges, pruning trees, pruning shrubbery, and weeding landscape beds.
  • Site Upkeep: Raking leaves, removing litter, blowing debris, and cleaning work sites.
  • Maintenance & Construction: Maintaining walkways, minor repairs to fencing, and installing lawn furniture.
  • Seasonal Duties: Shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and removing storm debris.
  • Equipment Care: Operating and performing routine maintenance on mowers, edgers, chain saws, and blowers. 

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using hand tools (rakes, shovels) and power equipment (weed eaters, chainsaws, riding mowers)
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs)
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for handling chemicals and operating machinery
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $40,800 - $55,200

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
