Job Description

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.

Boeing Product Security Engineering (PSE) is actively seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to join our workforce development team. This role offers a rare opportunity to work with and in Boeing’s vast portfolio of land, sea, and air products at sites across the United States and the globe.  You will play a key role in shaping how product security is taught, practiced, and scaled across the enterprise.

In this position, you will establish and lead the Product Security Engineering Peer Assisted Learning Lab (PSE PAL Lab), a cross‑functional, peer‑led organization focused on advancing enterprise product security capabilities. You will be responsible for defining the vision, structure, and operating model of the lab, and for directing the design, deployment, and sustainment of peer‑based learning and problem‑solving activities across the engineering lifecycle.

You will leverage deep product security expertise, the fellowship community, and designated subject matter experts to develop and host learning programs. In close collaboration with Business Units and engineering leadership, you will lead on‑the‑job learning labs and drive consistency in implementation of Product Security Engineering practices to achieve operational excellence in product security and resiliency.

Whether you’re passionate about engineering excellence, building engineering communities, or strengthening secure engineering culture at scale, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting enterprise impact. Join us to help shape the future of secure, resilient systems and empower the next generation of Boeing engineers to protect the products that connect and defend the world.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Establish and evolve the mission, scope, and operating model of the Product Security Engineering Peer Assisted Learning Lab (PSE PAL Lab) in alignment with enterprise product security and resiliency objectives.
  • Define and execute a sustainable strategy for the growth, integration, and long‑term success of the PSE PAL Lab, including alignment with Business Units, engineering leadership, and workforce development priorities.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve peer‑led learning experiences, curricula, and lab processes that strengthen Product Security Engineering proficiency across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Lead, facilitate, or delegate high‑value learning labs, technical exchanges, and problem‑solving forums that enable engineers to apply product security principles to real‑world challenges.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams and program leadership, providing guidance on product security risks, mitigations, compliance considerations, and secure design practices.
  • Ensure learning labs and problem‑solving sessions are executed with disciplined documentation, including clear articulation of objectives, constraints, solutions, and follow‑up actions, while maintaining appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging product security engineering methods, tools, and scalable practices, using insights from lab activities to inform enterprise strategy and continuously raise Boeing’s security posture.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing and/or applying product security principles across the engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, verification, and sustainment.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and security concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including engineers, technical fellows, and program leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a strategic and execution‑oriented role, balancing long‑term vision with hands‑on leadership and delivery
  • CISSP Certified

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong understanding of secure system design, threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies for complex products.
  • Experience designing, delivering, or leading technical learning, mentoring, or workforce development initiatives, such as peer learning forums, communities of practice, or on‑the‑job training.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across organizations without direct authority, including working with multiple Business Units, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience integrating product security into systems engineering, digital engineering, or model‑based engineering environments.
  • Experience working across multiple product domains (e.g., aircraft, autonomous systems, space, defense, or industrial control systems) within large, regulated engineering organizations.
