Boeing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security & Fire Protection Multi-Operations Specialist to join our Security & Fire Operations team in Jacksonville, FL.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, assets, and operations across multiple sites in the Florida region. This position is perfect for a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a strong background in security and fire protection. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Security & Fire Operations based in Huntsville, AL, and will play a key role in shaping the security and fire protection strategies for this region.

Position Responsibilities:

Fire and Security Oversight

  • Fire Inspections: Conduct comprehensive inspections of fire extinguishers, valves, life safety systems, and buildings to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards which include performing routine checks and maintaining detailed records of inspections and findings

  • System Maintenance: Maintain oversight of fire alarm and fire suppression systems, ensuring they are operational and compliant with NFPA standards; coordinate with service providers for regular maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

  • Emergency Preparedness Coordination: Act as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, developing and implementing emergency response plans tailored to site-specific needs which include conducting drills and training sessions to ensure readiness among all personnel

Security Operations Management

  • Daily Operations Management: Proactively manage daily security operations, including oversight of security contracts and personnel, to ensure effective security measures are in place which involve monitoring security personnel performance and addressing any issues that arise

  • Incident Reporting: Review and analyzing Uniformed Security Incident Reports (USIRs), determining appropriate actions and follow-up measures to mitigate risks; ensure that all incidents are documented accurately and that lessons learned are communicated to relevant stakeholders

  • Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, recommending improvements to enhance security protocols and align with current policies which include evaluating physical security measures, access controls, and emergency response capabilities

Collaboration and Training

  • Cross Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with local agencies, business partners, and internal teams to enhance security & fire programs that protect people, property, and information; build strong relationships with law enforcement and emergency services to facilitate effective communication during incidents

  • Training Development: Develop and deliver training programs for employees on security and fire protection procedures, ensuring all personnel are well-informed and prepared for emergencies; tailor training content to meet the specific needs of different departments and roles within the organization

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to less experienced personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team; encourage professional development through coaching and training opportunities

Emergency Preparedness

  • Threat Research: Stay informed on potential threats and emerging risks, conduct research to inform emergency response strategies; monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure our protocols remain effective and relevant

  • Response Coordination: Collaborate with external agencies to coordinate response plans for emergencies, ensuring a cohesive approach to incident management; participate in community emergency response planning initiatives to enhance overall preparedness

  • After-Action Reporting: Create detailed after-action reports following incidents, analyzing outcomes and recommending improvements for future preparedness; share findings with senior leadership and implement changes based on feedback

Risk Management

  • Risk Assessments: Perform regular risk assessments based on trend analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary; utilize data-driven approaches to prioritize risks and allocate resources effectively

  • Program Development: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of risk management programs, processes, and procedures to protect company assets and interests; ensure that all programs are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements

  • Policy Guidance: Consult with customers and external organizations to recommend new or alternative solutions, improvements, and enhancements to existing security and fire protection measures; stay current on industry regulations and best practices to inform policy development

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in security, fire protection, and/or emergency preparedness

  • 3+ years of experience with NFPA fire protective standards and implementation

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Threat Management and/or Threat Assessment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Fire Protection Engineering, Emergency Management, or a related field is preferred

  • FEMA - NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800, ICS certifications

  • Florida State Licensed Fire Alarm Technician, Fire Suppression Technician, and Fire Extinguisher Technician

  • Experience with physical security and fire protection systems and processes, including access control systems, video surveillance, and alarm systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
